I had a huge wake up call while we were on our last trip. You see, I have always been that country girl that wore her heart on her sleeve! Yeap that is me, and that is ok! The wake up call was that, it is ok to be who you are, it is not ok pretend to be someone you admire, or pretend to be someone you think everyone wants you to be.
I have ALWAYs tried to be what I thought “everyone” else wanted me to be, or expected me to be. And in all reality I am lying to myself, and everyone that knows me. With a lot of inspiration from my wonderful husband, and support from my family and friends, I will be me!
Coming from a Motivational Speaker or non speaker as she would say, (and not in the exact words) If you do not like the path you are on, then you need to change it! Via Jasmine Star.
Jasmine did not get on that stage to please everyone that was in the room. As a matter of fact she asked everyone to check themselves at the door! Ha. I will be using that one! Not that it is new or anything…
It is time to create the dream you have always yearned for, time to stop and smell the roses. And take the time to love! Not just say it, show it! It is very easy to blame where you are in life on certain circumstances, where you were raised, or even who you were raised by. That was an easy one for me. I partly blamed every mistake on the fact that I was raised by a single parent. Not saying that my momma did a bad job, just because that was a good excuse for me. If it wasn’t for my momma I would not have made it through. She is one of my best friends, along side my fabulous sister, and handsome husband. And not to get all mushy on you, My Brother is and always will be my inspiration… he never met a stranger and had as many friends as the people he met during his lifetime. That says a lot about a person, friends, the people that you can count on. The people that can always count on you.
Do you know the meaning of essence?
“the basic, real, and invariable nature of a thing or its significant individual feature or features”
