I almost cried, I told Shawn as we were snuggling in for the night. Uh? Shawn asked not knowing what in the world I was crying over this time. FYI:  I have become a major softy lately.  Explaining what I had just heard on the 10 o’clock news.  Steve Jobs died today, I told him. Not quite sure if he knew who Steve Jobs was he asked who is that.? Teary eyed I told him from beginning what I knew about Mr. Jobs. From the man in his garage to the CEO of a worldwide company.

Then it hit me. (Shawn was probably drifting off to sleep by now) I exclaimed ” I am a GEEK!” Shawn rolled over laughing and said: You’re not a geek, you don’t like Star Wars. I immediately got the giggles.

So, to test my geekiness I asked several of my friends and family throughout the morning: “Did you hear about Steve Jobs?” and guess how most of them responded…? Who’s that??

You have to Remember… I live in a very small town in South Carolina, where there are only 2 sources of Internet. 1. Via satellite and 2. Dial-up! I think it would be safe to say the small town of Johnsonville really isn’t up to date with the latest technology.  I guess it is understandable that they wouldn’t know of Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs is an idol to many, including me. Inspiration for all to chase their dreams and make those dreams a reality. RIP — never be forgotten.

This week’s Sweet & Sour post is going to be short and sweet. * Say that five times fast how about it.

1. Animoto. The end of slide shows. – I used Animoto for a recent wedding just to see what it was all about. And I have to say it is pretty cool. All you have to do is upload your images, choose your speed, star your favorite images, and choose your music. Viola you have a neato video. that’s not a slide-show

2. Fall! I am completely extatic that the fall temps are here! Soon it will make up for all those 100 degree days we have had this summer

3. Last, but definitly not least My new favorite Blog to stalk. The Flossip. If you live in Florence or in SC you must keep up with the unknown Mrs Flossip. Or is it Mr Flossip? I am not sure anyone really knows! The Flossip will keep you update on all things Florence, or the Pee Dee. And she makes quite an impression in the twitter world too! Find her here!

1. I only have one for the Sour portion this week! and that is the horrible horrible word

I decided to start a blog series {Sweet & Sour} about the things I love and shout-outs to the people that help make my life fabulous {Sweet}, and the things I wish I could change or things that make my life harder than it should be {Sour}.

The Sweets for this week are:

~ Pandora! Music always lightens my mood! Especially stations that I can personalize. ( As long as it  is not Shawn’s deadhead metal junk!)

~ My latest Facebook “Like” – Ritchie Rags. It is a unique clothing line for kids. and unique should be replaced by Awesome! They have the cutest dang stuff! Check them out on etsy too!

The sours for the week are:

~ nasty school pick-up-line mommas. No name calling here. We are ALL hot and impatient, so please be kind, and take a chance and smile at the mommy next to you!

~ SPAMMERS. They are everywhere! Twitter, Facebook, and email. Even on foursquare!
